OUR CRITERION REGARDING RELATIONS WITH MEN OF EARTH.
It is not possible to give a synthesis of our present culture without running the risk that our conceptions may seem unconvincing, since they are not accompanied by arguments developed with the desirable breadth.
We wish to offer you a superficial overview of the intellectual bases of our social structure, on different planes familiar to you.

Such a division is artificial for us, who regard the fabric of the cosmos as a harmonious “whole” that cannot be atomized into disciplines or sciences without seriously distorting the truth. The links between the different aspects of the universe are so intimate that their mental projection in the form of watertight compartments may prove alienating for the student.
But the transcription of these ideas becomes truly difficult if you bear in mind that your mental schemes are shaped differently from ours. We cannot use a common language intelligible to both. Right now, in striving to use Spanish verbal idioms that are familiar to you, I block the flow of ideas that I could otherwise communicate with ease, since the meanings of your phonemes cannot correctly interpret my thought. Could your brothers Rilke, Neruda, García Lorca have expressed their exquisite sensibility with the sole verbal instrument of a vocabulary selected from the index of an electrical engineering manual?
In our case it is not a matter of finding a Spanish phoneme or word whose meaning is analogous to that of our corresponding word. It is that even if this first step were achieved, even if a complete lexicographical analysis of the language were carried out, the complex expressions made up of those “words” would conceal meanings that are unusual for the typical habits of terrestrial thought. For that reason, the ideas that in these reports have been offered to other brothers of yours of different nationalities must necessarily turn out “geotropic”, that is, with a marked flavour of “terrestrial cultural orientation”; but this is due to the vehicle of social communication chosen. The evocative power of the phonemes familiar to you obstructs any serious attempt at exgeognosological cultural transfer.
Very far from our minds is the idea of offering you these conceptions to serve as a doctrinal basis replacing the pillars of present terrestrial thought.
Reports analogous to this one, although with a different specific content, were sent by post to philosophers, hierarchies of various Churches, graduates of various universities, technicians, publicists and people with secondary education in different countries of OYAGAA (Earth). We know that many of your brothers scorned such data because they refused to recognize our true identity. This stance is orthodox from the standpoint of a “vision” of normal logic.
But even those terrestrial OEMII who, with stimulated curiosity, kept these pages typewritten in various languages, and who managed to combine with commendable balance the mental reserve and secrecy we required with an open stance of conditional acceptance of our testimony, were never coerced by us into replacing their own geognosological ideas and conceptions with ours.
We by no means wish (we even severely exhort you not to) that you fall into the temptation of exchanging your religious, scientific and politico-economic ideas for ours. You yourself will recognize the reason for this warning.
First line of reasoning: because our reports are purely DESCRIPTIVE. We offer you an account without positive, rational and convincing arguments to support it.
It would be aberrant for you to graft our ideas, concepts and bare assertions onto the ideological constellation shaped by your educators of EARTH.
But moreover, if you did so, you would seriously distort the normal rhythm of social coexistence, the development of the culture of EARTH. You would alter the normal process of technology, seriously damaging the present geosocial fabric.
A revolution of your structures must be forged within the social network itself. A cosmic morality that we share respectfully forbids us to intervene, except in unforeseeable limit cases.
We do not come (at least my brothers from UMMO do not) to bring you a new doctrine, to set ourselves up as prophets come down from heaven of a new physics, a new religion, different mathematical conceptions, offering you panaceas for your social or pathophysiological ills, taking advantage of our more advanced cultural maturity. Just as an engineer specialized in terrestrial constructions, on a visit to a nursery school, would never think of disrupting the cycle of infant teaching by trying to explain to the UYIIE how a cantilever bridge is built with prestressed concrete segments.
Naturally that specialist could use similes and expressions accessible to those embryonic brains that would make comprehensible the technology that allows great spans to be bridged in the construction of these structures. There is no need to stress that a lesson of that nature is inopportune in an early-childhood teaching cycle.
The purity of our intentions can be verified simply through the procedure chosen to address you. If we really sought to introject our own mental world into you, we would exercise our proselytism by supporting the texts with demonstrations, even if sophistical ones. We shall not insist further on the fact that our stay on EARTH is due exclusively to a vital need, which you will understand, to study you and analyse your biocultural evolution. Only when we understood that your own barriers of scepticism protect us did we decide on this attempt at intellectual symbiosis.
We now offer you these documents, even knowing that they will be received with reticence, and we make men of EARTH like you their depositaries, who, imbued with interest in extrabiological subjects, will keep them at least until genuine objective proofs sanction the authenticity of their origin.
This is all we ask: Do not believe us. Receive these concepts with distrust. Do not disseminate them for the time being in the mass media. Show yourselves sceptical, even, before OEMII not familiar with your science (the one that analyses these facts), but do not destroy these printed sheets. Together with a few thousand more, discreetly distributed, they constitute the historical precedent of the primeval relations between our two hominid networks.
